i like how when people say “i love couples with size difference” they mean tiny girls with waists so thin the large men they are dating can put their entire hand around them and by love i mean where the FUCK are my tiny vain princes and their huge muscular knight women who don’t put up with any of their shit and hoist them over their shoulders and walk off when they’re having a princely temper tantrum your all WEAK
Guess I will do some homework and try to stop thinking about how the world is slowly circling the bowl…
I was scrolling through my feed, and there’s all this … racial stuff. (I know, surprise, it’s Tumblr, right?) But it’s mostly stuff like “stop trying to dress up like PoC characters!” and “Oh look, another distasteful joke about whites vs native americans!” and “don’t act like slavery wasn’t a thing!”
But … while this is all well and dandy, just because someone is white doesn’t make them, personally, a monster. Some people that are white had nothing to do with having ancestors in this country (the US) that owned slaves. (I know slavery wasn’t solely a US thing though, but that’s not the point I’m trying to make here.) Some people that are white never had ancestors that were here to kill native americans, or even here at all. Some people that are white aren’t even actually technically “white” because they genetically have PoC in their bloodline (for instance, I know someone that looks white as a sheet but her father is black, and the only way you can tell is by looking at her bone structure.)
Just because someone is white and lives in North America does not make them a descendent of slavers or a descendent of slaughters. We have this little thing called Travel? And this thing called Immigration? Where people from all over the world move to other parts of the world? And live there? Some people are only like 35 years old, and the first of their family to live in the US, for instance.
Just because you’re white doesn’t mean that you were a part of the hate then, or a part of the hate now.
Can we just stop perpetuating all the negativity? Everywhere. For everyone. Anyone of any skin tone, of any culture, of any body, mind or soul?
Maybe that’s something stupid to think on Tumblr of all places, but… I think it.
It probably won’t change anything anywhere, but it’s in my heart. I hope that one day it will be in everyone else’s, no matter who they descended from.
